Frequently Asked Questions
How difficult is it to learn to use your portable 3D Laser Scanner?
Our philosophy is “Scan in Seconds.” The software features an intuitive UI, and most users can complete their first scan within 15 minutes of unboxing. We provide a full library of video tutorials and a Quick Start Guide to get you up and running immediately.
How does it handle black or shiny surface?
We can scan black or shiny surface directly without spraying matt agent.
How often does the scanner need to be re-calibrated?
The device is factory-calibrated and holds its accuracy for a long time under normal use. We recommend a yearly check-up or calibration if you notice drift, though many users go years without needing it. We offer a paid re-calibration service at our factory.
Are your SMRs compatible with major laser tracker brands like Leica, FARO, API, or Hexagon?
Yes.
Our SMRs are designed to be fully cross-compatible. We manufacture standard 1.5-inch, 0.875-inch, and 0.5-inch SMRs that fit perfectly with Leica (Absolute Tracker AT series), FARO (Vantage series), and API (Radian series).
Can I use your SMRs as a direct replacement for OEM spheres?
Yes. Our SMRs meet or exceed the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. They are a cost-effective alternative without compromising on measurement accuracy or repeatability.
